Abstract | What did the "reformed Egyptian" characters of the Book of Mormon look like? A small piece of paper commonly called the "Anthon Transcript" or "Caractors Document" has survived which offers us a glimpse at the script utilized by the ancient Nephites. But many questions still surround this text, offering us an opportunity to dig deeper into the circumstances surrounding the creation of this document and assess its significance for evaluating the claims made by Joseph Smith. |
