Abstract | On some level or another, most readers notice that prophecies play an important role in the Book of Mormon. What may not be so apparent is that some of the Book of Mormon’s major narratives were specifically designed to emphasize the fulfillment of its prophetic declarations. When this pattern is recognized, it becomes clear that prophecy plays a fundamental rather than incidental role in shaping the structure and content of the Book of Mormon. |
