Abstract | Although many students of the scriptures are familiar with the armor-of-God themes found in Ephesians 6 and also Doctrine and Covenants 27, they may not recognize that the Book of Mormon also contains of a number of spiritual or symbolic references to armor. This spiritual symbolism is especially significant in the Book of Mormon because it repeatedly depicts how armies won or lost military conflicts based on their battle attire. This helps drives home just how important physical—and by analogy, spiritual—armor really is. |
