KnoWhy #376 - What Were the “Other Records” Nephi Saw in Vision? (1 Nephi 13:39)

During Nephi’s revelation, he saw “books, which came forth by the power of the Lamb, from the Gentiles unto them” (1 Nephi 13:39). These books were meant to show the world “that the records of the prophets and of the twelve apostles of the Lamb are true.” Since 1840, many records have come to light that fit this description. The Codex Siniaticus, discovered in 1844, the Library of Ashurbanipal, discovered in 1851, the Cairo Geniza, discovered in 1896, the Nag Hammadi library, discovered in 1945, and the Dead Sea Scrolls, discovered in 1947, all fit this description.
