Abstract | While Martin is often best known for losing the 116 page manuscript, there are a number of important ways he helped bring the Book of Mormon forth. He was Joseph's first scribe for two months, he carried some of the characters from the plates to scholars back east, and was one of the three witnesses. He also provided the necessary funding to get the book published. For these important contributions, Martin deserves our utmost gratitude. |
