Abstract | In recent years, many have wondered what DNA studies might contribute to understanding Book of Mormon origins. Some argue DNA disproves the historicity of the Book of Mormon while others say it offers supporting evidence. In 2014, the LDS Church released an essay addressing this issue. As concluded in that essay, genetic studies on past populations involve many complicated factors, making it impossible to either prove or disprove the Book of Mormon using DNA analysis. |
