Abstract | In His ministries in the New Testament and in 3 Nephi, Jesus Christ often conveyed power, authority, and blessings through physical contact with individuals. This divine pattern of ministry was carried out one by one, illustrating Christ’s intimate concern for each child of God. Importantly, this ministry was conducted at the temple in Bountiful, signifying that the fundamental purpose of the temple is to help individuals come unto Christ as they, one by one, enter into sacred covenants and receive saving ordinances. |
