Abstract | Alma and his followers endured bitter persecution after coming under bondage to Amulon, leader of the exiled priests of Noah. They then poured out their hearts to the Lord, “and he did know the thoughts of their hearts” (Mosiah 24:12). The Lord answered their prayers by helping them to “bear up their burdens with ease,” and soon thereafter provided a miracle that allowed Alma and his followers to escape their bondage. Like Alma and his people, we too can find strength in times of trial by calling on the Lord. He will similarly strengthen us in our time of need. |
