Abstract | 3 Nephi 27:20 reads, “Repent, all ye ends of the earth, and come unto me and be baptized in my name, that ye may be sanctified by the reception of the Holy Ghost.” Christ commanded that all things be done in His name, so His commandment to be “baptized in my name” emphasizes the importance of His name in making covenants. His invitation to all the earth to come to Him reflects the experience of all the people at the temple coming to him one by one. Like those who physically felt Christ’s healing touch at the temple in Bountiful, all of us can spiritually come unto Christ by being baptized into His church and following His gospel. |
