Abstract | Nephi made several allusions to his father's vision of the tree of life as he taught people to "feast" on the word of Christ. Contemporary prophets like Ezekiel likewise "ate" the word of the Lord as a symbolic gesture, and there appear to temple and Sabbath day connotations in the symbolism. All of this provides a rich feast of insights on what it means to "feast upon the words of Christ." |
