Abstract | Submitted to the 2021 Book of Mormon Central Art Contest. 24X30 Mixed media on stretched canvas. This piece captures the feeling of the moment, the absolute whirlwind emotion that Joseph Smith must have felt the moment the Heavens opened again. This piece celebrates this incredible moment when Light once again beat the darkness. This artist is a wife and mother of four. When she had her first child, she felt she needed to pack up her brushes and paints to be successful mother. Luckily, she eventually smartened up and realized Heavenly Father gave her these passions to help her be a better person, which would also make her a better mother. Now, her days are filled with homeschooling, peanut butter sandwiches, painting, writing, changing diapers, and so much love. |
