Abstract

Submitted to the 2021 Book of Mormon Central Art Contest – Youth Division.

Age: 13

Elizabeth and Isaac Hale in front of their white, green-shuttered home.  In “Hard Questions” a picture of "American Gothic" was used because there was no photos or paintings of Isaac and Elizabeth to be found.  So using that format, the artist has depicted them in front of their home. Note that Isaac's rifle and powder horn which are displayed in the home today are being held and worn by Isaac Hale. This piece is dedicated to Lynne Wilson so that she doesn't have to use "American Gothic" anymore.  ;)

The artist is a 13-year-old living in Southern Utah.  She loves to watch John Hilton videos and Lynne Wilson's "Hard Questions" and Tyler and Taylor, and earns trivia points each time she amasses 100 points; winning flashlights, film for her Instax camera or assorted chocolate covered candy bars or Kinder Hippos.  When she isn't doing her homeschool or drawing, she can often be found bottle feeding a black Suri alpaca cria named "Kryptonite".  But it is her four cats that are really her reason for living.
