Abstract

BYU Studies Quarterly presents Galen Fletcher's work on Ernest Wilkinson's crucial role in founding the BYU Law School in 1970. Then, Craig Harline shows how studying really old history provides us insight about change, including change that people once believed could never happen. Diane Wirth points out depictions of seven tribes in ancient Mesoamerican records that may reflect the seven tribes of the Book of Mormon. Barbara Morgan tells about the creation and founding of Benemérito de las Américas, a Church school in Mexico City that recently became a missionary training center. Shon Hopkin shows how Psalm 22 foreshadows Christ's mission and atonement. Reviews are of books on Mormon theology, art, typology, fiction, symbolism, and social trends, and of a play of two sister wives.
