Abstract

Vast amounts of marvelous evidences for the Book of Mormon have accumulated. Archaeological evidences include the many discoveries in the Americas—La Venta, Izapa stone, Quetzalcoatl, bearded-men statues, Egyptian type burials, arts, metals, and textiles. The writings of sixteenth-century Native American historians, such as the Totonicapan, Popol Vuh, Annals of the Cakchiquels, and the Works of Ixtlilxochitl, and the writings of the sixteenth-century Catholic priests Bernardino de Sahagun, Bishop Bartholome de Las Casas, Diego de Landa, and Juan de Torquemad present correlations and correspondences to the Book of Mormon.
