| Abstract | "Behold The Man" is a unique depiction of the resurrected Savior Jesus Christ reaching out to the viewer with his pierced hands and wrists. This is a scene has taken place in many different instances in the scriptures and in modern times. Thomas the apostle saw such as scene as well as the Nephite people in 3 Nephi 11. Such as scene we may also behold as we one day stand before him. This piece portrays just a small fragment to the majesty of such an appearance. Hunter Evans is serving a full time mission. He was born in Hyrum Utah and has lived there all of his life. He began drawing as soon as he could pick up a pencil. Hunter loves drawing and views it as a God-given talent to bless the lives of others. It has taken time, work, and practice to develop and has blessed his life immeasurably. Submitted to the 2020 Book of Mormon Central Art Contest. |
