Abstract | In Alma 32 we hear the parable of the word as a seed. Often, we discuss faith growing like a seed, while in reality the seed represents the word of God. When this seed is nourished by our faith, it swells and grows into perfect knowledge of a principle. This piece attempts to illustrate the artist's interpretation of the parable, where our Heavenly Parents watch our progress as we come to know their Son and our Savior, reaping the fruit of His divine love.
Rebecca Woodword artist is living and working in Indiana with her Husband and two children. She has a BFA in Illustration and later went to study at the Beaux Arts Academy in Salt Lake with Joseph Brickey. She identifies with the classical ideals of cultivating Beauty, Permanence and Excellence in her work while developing her individual voice and leaving room for experimentation and contemporary approaches.
