Abstract | Submitted to the 2021 Book of Mormon Central Art Contest. President Nelson spoke of Lucy Mack Smith's example to young Joseph in the April 2020 general conference, and it encouraged me so much as a mother. Lucy lived her faith for all to see, including her children. Joseph followed her and changed the world. Similarly, I have influence. My children are watching me and learning from me, and I hope that something good sticks. The artist is an amateur watercolor artist since 2013, painting portraits of loved ones and scenes from the scriptures that inspire her. She is a stay-at-home mom in Texas and loves to see religious art from all over the world to add to her understanding of God. |
