Abstract
Honorable Mention in the 2020 Book of Mormon Central Art Contest.
 
This painting depicts a Nephite and Lamanite in combat in Acrylic. Although the Lamanites were equipped with armor and great strength, they did not count on the preperation and technology of the Nephites. Amidst the fury and chaos of war, this painting tries to depict the calmness a Nephite may have felt under Moroni's leadership.
 
Leilani Hughes is an artist, wife, and mother of two children. She studied film at UVU and has a passion for the arts as well as other cultures. As an artist she loves color, portraits, and ink. Currently she is fascinated with Sumi-e and ink art.
