Abstract	It is asserted that, contrary to what critics claim, the views of an LDS Church leader on homosexuality are consistent with his past public teachings over many years. The reaction of a group that opposes the church’s stance on California Proposition 8 is also examined, and arguments in favor of altering LDS teaching on homosexuality are critiqued.
