Abstract | This annual Neal A. Maxwell Lecture was given on 11 March 2010. Willes discusses his work of leading an LDS Church–owned media company as it sought to blend old media with new while reflecting the values of its parent organization and seeking to have a worldwide reach and impact. Innovative steps to avoid gratuitous negative journalism, elevate civic dialogue, and emotionally engage readers and viewers in relevant, compelling issues are highlighted. |
