| Abstract | This piece was an entry in the 2019 Book of Mormon Central Art Contest.
"Drawing on emotive forces portrayed in classical Catholic imagery and combining them with modern realism combines two eras of worship into one creating a deeper sense of wholeness. The contrast between dark and light, the reflection (implied-inward and literal), and the red colors draw upon scriptural references and ideas.
The eyes depicted could belong to Christ, the viewer, or a separate individual. The light is, and will always be, Christ's which shines through us at times."
