Abstract

This piece was an entry in the Youth Category of the 2019 Book of Mormon Central Art Contest and received an Honorable Mention.

"This art is based on part of Alma 38:9, which says, 'There is no other way or means whereby men can be saved, only in and through Christ. Behold, he is the life and the light of the world.' As I made this print, I reflected on the story of Alma's son, Shiblon, and how he was able to turn to Christ through persecution and hardship in his life. This print shows Christ filling the world with His hands outstretched towards all of us. As with Shiblon, Christ is reaching out to each of us, no matter where we are in the world or our spiritual journeys, and we can always come to Him."
