Abstract | A report of the findings of the 1973 Pre-Columbian Transatlantic Crossings Symposia held in Lumpkin, Georgia. Three important conclusions were drawn by the presenters: (1) Ancient Americans were literate and kept records. (2) Pre-Columbian Americans had the technology necessary for the production of iron. (3) Ancient Americans actually came from the Old World via the Atlantic as well as the Pacific. |
