| Abstract | King Benjamin's sermon in Mosiah 2–6 contains a number of types of parallelisms, or Hebraic poetic structures. One prominent kind of parallelism in his speech is chiasmus, as discovered by John W. Welch in the 1960s. By recognizing chiasmus and other parallelisms in Benjamin's address, readers can better appreciate the beauty and depth of the sermon. |
